Eden Marie Biele, a Local on a Mission

There are a lot of amazing people in our tiny town of Laguna and Eden Marie Biele is undoubtedly one of them. Biele is a powerhouse of action and conversation, and a great force in the community.

Born and raised in Southern California, Biele always found herself living coastal, whether it was Long Beach, Hawaii, or, now, Laguna. Several years ago, a serendipitous conversation on a plane nudged her to check out Laguna Beach as she searched for a new home and school district for her family of four. Just two months after that initial conversation, the Biele family called Laguna home.

“I don't say yes to things unless I'm really passionate about them. I choose to keep [certain] people around and choose to stay involved in things that inspire me,” explains Biele. “I think that being in this community is really supportive of that just by the environment that we live in.”

With a degree in psych and social behavior at the University of Hawaii, Biele started her own practice as a therapist when she was 25, helping women who struggled with weight issues. Although she’s no longer in that business, the company is still running successfully, and since, the serial entrepreneur has been able to lead multiple dream careers, serving as the global executive director for a large cosmetics company, before taking on the entertainment business, working in front of the camera, shooting TV shows, and even starting a production company.

“I enjoy diversity and have shifted gears within my career to keep things fresh and new and exciting,” explains Biele. “I get to learn and am around incredible people that are really into innovation and forward thinking.”

Today, Biele and her husband own an aerospace manufacturing company for which their international business takes them out of the country frequently. She also serves as the charity liason for the nonprofit Durga Tree International, whose goal is to end modern day slavery.

“We've raised over a million dollars,” shares the philanthropist. “I've been to Guatemala, all throughout Central and South America, Mexico, and Thailand, working with young victims and girls who've been pulled out of the slave trade and child sex trafficking.”

It’s clear that Biele isn’t afraid to get her hands dirty and truly enjoys the work she does, no matter how challenging. Along with being involved in international affairs, Biele stays involved in local politics and happenings as well. As the President of the Cheer Booster Club at Laguna Beach High School, you’ll find the mother of two at every sporting event dressed from head to toe in maroon and white.

“I’m that parent,” Biele laughs. “I work really closely with the athletes and families, and we've worked the last few years to really build the program. LBHS now has 20 cheerleaders, which is a big deal.”

Biele is an outspoken advocate and activist for parental rights, parental choice, and pro-medical freedom -- especially because she had a vaccine-injured child that landed them in and out of the hospital. “That is when my activism started in regards to education and creating awareness around vaccine safety,” Biele shares. “I truly believe that we, as high functioning, contributing members of society, have a responsibility to look out for our fellow man and do our best to help spread awareness, truth, and science to save our children.” (She’s currently fighting against the 5G development with many other passionate locals.)

In her spare time, Biele travels, studies quantum physics, spends time with her family, attends personal growth workshops, meets with her book club, and hunts for magic crystals along Laguna’s beautiful beaches. Find her supporting her favorite restaurants (South of Nicks, Maro, Starfish) and shops in town (Laguna Supply, Garage Collective, ROOTS Beauty)... that is, if you can keep up.
