Wake Up Your Lashes with Elan Artistry

While the pandemic has taught us many things, one of the most crucial is the importance of mental health and self-care. Eating healthy, exercising, and giving yourself a break when you need one is right up there with sanitizing and social distancing.

Keeping a positive mindset better equips us to deal with this unprecedented time, and taking care of ourselves (even if all we’re doing is staying at home) makes us feel better, both internally and externally.

When I need a dose of me-time one of my favorite things to do is get my lashes done. It instantly brightens my face, makes me look less tired, and is a no-hassle way to skip the makeup in the AM — a simplified morning routine, ready to go.

While I’ve been a regular lash connoisseur for the majority of four years since losing my lashes to chemo, I was less than impressed with the post-COVID safety standards of my regular place… so I went on the lookout for somewhere new.

When I Googled “Orange County Lash Artist” and stumbled upon Elan Artistry's Instagram I was impressed with not only the before and after photos, but also how knowledgeable founder Cecilia Wiscomb was about lashes in general. In her posts she regularly provides her followers video tips on lash maintenance, CDC-recommended sanitation protocols for lash businesses, and — because it’s 2021 and she’s keen to what’s hip — she even has an entertaining presence on TikTok!

Wiscomb is a licensed esthetician who discovered the magic of lashes after being gifted a set, and promptly left a 15-year corporate career to start her own business.

Today, her fully-booked salon has become Orange County’s go-to salon for lashes and lash education.

In addition to Classic and Volume lash extensions, Laguna Hills-based Elan Artistry also offers Keratin Lash Lifts, full-body waxing, and brow shaping — and, because Wiscomb can’t (and shouldn’t) keep her best-lashes-in-town knowledge all to herself, she even shares her expertise through her own Lash Academy. From her Private Lash Lift and Refresher Training courses to her EBL Lash Extensions Training, the certified Master Lash Artist gives up-and-coming lash technicians the skills they need to start their careers in beauty.

In our current climate Wiscomb has gone above and beyond to ensure her clients feel comfortable when leaving their homes for their self-maintenance. Only booking one client at a time, she wears both a face shield and face mask, does a temperature check, limits talking, and makes sure everything is sanitized and sparkling clean. (She’s even invested in top-of-the-line air purifying machines to maintain better air quality.)

Because Elan Artistry prides itself in lash health first and knows lashes are not a one-size-fits-all process, Wiscomb provides each client a free consultation where she’ll determine which type of lash is best for their individual preferences, eye shape, and facial features.

Whether it’s a natural everyday look or a full and glamorous statement, clients can trust that Wiscomb will use her expertise to come up with a game-plan that’s best for the health of their lashes.

As with everything about the Elan Artistry experience, the booking process is as seamless as it gets and you can schedule your initial and follow up appointments directly through their easy-to-navigate website.

And trust us, rolling out of bed in the morning looking like you’re ready to go is self-care at its finest… even if the plan is to stay in your pajamas all day!
