No matter how you see it, the holidays are looking a little different this year. As the founder of local interior design firm Atlee + Co Designs, I’m constantly on the lookout for new items to upgrade my clients’ homes, so this time of year brings an added excitement for me. Laguna Candles
Candles, in my humble opinion, are a forever favorite gift and are so versatile. Friends, teachers, parents, etc. there is no right or wrong answer for who can get a candle (okay, maybe not a kiddo)! I love their Heirloom Artisan Collection, particularly the Ceramic Candle in Black or their wellness candles in Evolve.
Stitch and Feather
I love the all-around bohemian vibe that breathes through Stitch + Feather — from the hats displayed on the wall to the overall neutral color palette that is a home decor enthusiasts dream. Grab a great pair of earrings for your best gal and a fun coffee table book for that loved one who has happily become a pandemic plant mom!
Juxtaposition Home
Juxta is my go-to for finding the right pieces to mark any occasion. It’s like the catch-all for all things interesting and one-of-a-kind, and is the perfect place for the person who has everything! I am living for this bright marigold sweatshirt from Clare V, and if you know me, you know I love all things natural material, so the rattan glassware is right up my alley and the perfect gift for those who have been looking for a little kitchenware upgrade!
Tippy’s Laguna Beach
In my humble opinion, there is never a bad time for a morning brew. For all your java loving friends, Tippy’s Laguna Beach offers subscription services for coffees and teas and there’s no cuter package than a handmade mug and a fresh roasted bag of coffee. Need more? Their Handmade Pour Over Set might just be the ticket. I love the organic look and feel of all things handmade AND you can even request a specific color for your mug which will make your gift that much more special.
Cottage Furnishings
Nine times out of ten, my gifts are going to lean towards the home design side of the spectrum (I am an interior designer after all)! A few of my go-to gifts are a nice throw and a cute cutting board. I love the pom poms on the edge of this lightweight throw that would look chic draped over your sofa or the edge of your bed. Additionally, you can never go wrong with cutting boards, which are a great pairing gift with a cookbook or homemade food item. As a fellow Lauren, the second I heard of Laurenly, I knew I had to take a peek — and it didn’t disappoint. Located in Orange, it’s a boutique that holds a little bit of everything in the chicest of ways. I am absolutely grabbing their collaborative art print to gift as a percentage of its proceeds go towards The Loveland Foundation. I’m also loving this adorable wick trimmer that would be perfect for the candle lover in your life.
Roger’s Gardens
I couldn’t write down some of my favorite gifts from local vendors without including Roger’s Gardens. It’s truly a winter wonderland of its own. Go for some coffee, a Santa photo, and to see all the cute decor and head home with a wreath or a bright, vibrant poinsettia that will leave a fresh smell of pine throughout your home all season long.

During the pandemic, everyone has spent so much time at home that changing up our decor has become a hobby for most of us! Visit Areo Home for holiday gifts that will give a refresh to any room.
