Oana’s journey started back in 2020, when she and her family bought their first home in the U.S. Like many homeowners, she was excited to make it her own — but when it came to the windows, she hit a wall.
“I struggled to find someone who could guide me through the process of dressing our windows beautifully and functionally,” she shared. “After a few frustrating meetings, I realized there was a real gap in the market — and an opportunity.”
With no outside funding, she launched OM Drapes Design with little more than curiosity and grit. Over the past five years, she’s transformed that idea into a seven-figure business serving Orange County and beyond.

“As our business evolved, we began working more closely with interior designers and trade professionals,” she explained. “We realized we had the right combination of textile knowledge, attention to detail, and service to really support this community. Opening a showroom here was the natural next step.”

One of her most memorable projects? A Primary Bedroom designed for a high-profile client in Los Angeles who wanted the space to feel like a peaceful, cozy cocoon.
“They wanted something warm and deeply relaxing — almost like being in a womb,” Oana recalled. “We layered rich textures, bold patterns, and deep tones with advanced motorization to create a space that was both dramatic and incredibly functional. It was a true collaboration — and one that really captured what we do best.”

“Orange County is where we planted roots, built our business, and raised our family,” she shared. “From Huntington Beach to Laguna Niguel, we’ve found a supportive, design-savvy community that values beauty and quality. We’re proud to call it home.”
She’s also intentional about supporting other small businesses — sourcing gifts from local shops, ordering flowers from neighborhood florists, and attending events hosted by groups like ASID and BNI. “We love collaborating with fellow designers and vendors,” she said. “It’s important to us to invest back into the community that’s helped us grow.”
